BRECHIN UNITED HONOR ROLL
BRECHIN UNITED WW II HONOR ROLL: by brian zelley
It was after the end of WW II when the Brechin United Church
decided to recognize about 50 of the past members that
served in WW II including four that died iun action
Gordon Farrar, John Sawers, Buddy Sawers and John W. White.

Brechin United Church Unveils An Honor Roll
The event was held on a Thursday evening and included
parents of veterans, several of the veterans that had returned,
and a cross section of the community.
part of the event included vocal and instrumental music led by
Mrs. Cannon. Others that contributed to the program were:
Mrs. K. Brankston, Mrs George Gray, Jean Cook, Tom Dawes,
Dave Arnett, Mrs. hawkes and Pyllis Barsby and Sunday School
children.
The president Mr. Piper presided over the event was
supported by Pastor McTaggart and former pastor
